ABOUT THIS COURSE

ADHD & Sex: A Forensic Lens explores the impact of ADHD on the criminal justice system with a focus on ADHD and sexual offending. 

This course is open to forensic professionals who work within the field of corrections. This training is primarily for professionals who work directly with adults who have ADHD and have sexually harmed others. This includes mental health counselors, social workers, clinical psychologists, and forensic experts. This course is best suited to people with an intermediate and/or advanced knowledge of Forensic settings and populations.

Forensic Masterclass

Upon completion of this educational activity, learners should be better able to

1) Understand the unique impact of ADHD on relevant risk factors

2) Examine the impact of ADHD on psychosocial development, behavior, and functioning in adults who have harmed others

3) Discuss the relevance of addressing neurodiversity in both assessment and treatment of individuals who have engaged in sexually harmful behaviors   

4) Identify key responsivity factors when working with individuals who have ADHD

5) Identify effective solutions to address the link between ADHD and criminal justice involvement
