Sex, Novelty and ADHD can go together!

Take a moment to remember the last fun thing that you did! Was it great, monumental, or simply a quiet activity that was different from your usual activities? Novelty is the need for a new activity, a new experience or finding a new way of doing things. When it comes to ADHD and sex, the need for novelty is pretty important. Let’s face it, it’s hard to maintain an ADHDer’s interest in anything over time, this includes sex.

Finding ways to make sexual activity novel can help manage distractibility during sexual play. One strategy to increase novelty is to share sexual fantasies or sexual stories together. You can also explore different types of touch or set time aside to try new sexual experiences Small changes, such as trying a new lube, can make a big difference! If variety is the spice of life, try adding variety to your sex life!
